The Trinamic Chip

The Trinamic’s TMC2225 is an integrated motor driver designed for various applications, including CNC machining, Laser cutting, 3D printing, cameras, scanners, and automated equipment. It features a noiseless current control mode, StealthChop2™, and is specifically designed for bipolar stepper motors.

The driver, equipped with low RDSon N-Channel power MOSFETs, functions as full H-bridges to drive motor windings, supporting up to 2A (peak) current per output with proper heatsinking. Operating in a voltage range of 4.75 to 36V, this motor driver is versatile for use in various applications with a wide operating voltage range. The TMC2225 is highly configurable through UART pins for controlling the mode of operation to provide seamless operation.
