Exploring the SFU1610’s Applications:
- Linear Actuators:
The simplest way to use the SFU1610 is to mount it using a Ball Screw Support at each end and a Ball Nut Housing to hold and move a Gantry Plate. Make sure to use a Floating Support like the BF12 Floating Ball Screw Support on the floating end of the Ball Screw and a Fixed Support such as the BK12 Fixed Ball Screw Support for the fixed end. Then you can use a DSG16 Ball Nut Housing mounted on your Ball Nut and attach it to whatever you need to move, or use a Gantry Plate for a larger surface area.Other Mounting:
Try the Flange Mounted Options: the FF12 Floating Ball Screw Support and the FK12 Fixed Ball Screw Support, if the BF and BK Supports aren’t the right fit for you
- 3D Printing:
Enhance precision in your 3D printing projects. Pair the SFU1610 with our 3D Printer Controller Pack including Mega 2560 and RAMPS 1.4 for optimal control. Also compatible with our Nema 17 Stepper Motors for smooth and accurate movement. - Robotics:
Build or upgrade robotic arms and manipulators with the SFU1610. Check out our Robotics parts to find some commonly used components, or look at our curated MakerBotics selection. Our 12V-24V Geared-DC Motors can also be used for additional power and control in your robotic projects. - CNC Machine Upgrades:
If you’re confident enough to build custom plates for your CNC routers, mills, and lathes, the SFU1610 will improve the accuracy and motor efficiency of your machine. For further upgrades, consider using this ball screw with our popular xPRO V5 Motion Control System or E5X MCS T4.1 for enhanced machining accuracy. - DIY and Hobbyist Projects:
The SFU1610 is perfect for hobbyists creating custom machinery. Combine it with an Arduino and a Sensor Pack to create a wide range of projects that will keep you busy for years.
