Description
Technical Overview
The Slide-In Economy T-Nut – 30 Series 10 Pack provides 10 carbon steel, nickel-plated slide-in T-nuts for 30 series T-slot aluminium extrusion. Each T-nut loads from the open profile end and slides along the T-channel to the required bolt position. Available in M6 and M8 thread, they accept the matching cap head bolts used with 30 series brackets and accessories.
The economy design uses a simple rectangular body without a spring mechanism. As a result, these T-nuts are the most cost-effective option for new builds where fastening positions are known before assembly begins. Nickel plating also provides corrosion resistance for indoor and light industrial environments.
Applications
The Slide-In Economy T-Nut – 30 Series 10 Pack is the standard fastening component for attaching brackets, accessories, and hardware to 30 series T-slot aluminium extrusion. For example, typical uses include corner bracket mounting, linear rail attachment, sensor bracket mounting, machine guards, and enclosure panel retention. Furthermore, they suit any component-to-extrusion connection where T-nut positions are set before assembly begins.
These T-nuts pair with M6 cap head bolts or M8 cap head bolts and work with all 30 series brackets in the Maker Store range. For assembled frames where a heavier-duty option is preferred, the Sliding Steel T-Nut – 30 Series, 10 Pack provides the same slide-in installation in a standard steel body.

Maker Store Tips and Tricks
-
- Load slide-in T-nuts before assembling the frame – once the profile end is enclosed by an end cap or adjacent profile, end access is lost.
- Add a few extra T-nuts at each slot during initial assembly. Unused T-nuts can slide to their final positions later; this is much easier than partial disassembly.
- If you need to add a T-nut to an assembled slot mid-span, use a drop-in or ball-spring T-nut instead – these can be inserted through the slot opening without end access.
- Align the T-nut body so the threaded hole faces outward and is centred in the slot width before tightening the bolt.
- Do not over-tighten M6 or M8 bolts in aluminium extrusion – apply correct torque to prevent stripping the T-nut thread or deforming the slot.
