Description

The Maker Store ESP32 Breakout Board was designed in-house here at Maker Store as a solution for a screw terminal breakout board for the ESP32 DevKitC. Bring IoT to your projects with this breakout shield without the need for breadboards or designing custom PCBs. The board can be used in projects that include but are not limited to; automated garden watering systems, data-logging systems, actuator control systems, and robotics controllers to name a few.

The board features onboard regulators to supply power to an array of sensors and peripherals requiring 5V and 3.3V power. A screw terminal array is included for more robust and reliable connections and allows access to all GPIOs on the board.

The board comes pre-soldered and ready to use right out of the box.

Board Features


High-Quality Screw Terminal Connections:

We have designed this board to include 3.81mm screw terminal connectors. This makes for reliable and more robust connections compared to the standard Dupont headers.

The screw terminals access all 34 GPIOS and have extra 5V and 3.3V terminals for powering additional peripherals such as sensors or relays.

Pro-Tip: Use bootlace ferrules for an even better connection.


Built In Micro-sd Card Socket

The breakout board comes as standard with a micro-sd card socket.

Increase the versatility of your project with data logging such as an environmental sensor logging system.

Pinouts for the micro-sd card socket are as follows:

  • MOSI: GPIO23
  • MISO: GPIO19
  • SCK: GPIO18
  • CS: GPIO 5

Pro-Tip: Format the micro-sd card in the FAT32 file system before first use.


Dual Power Terminals

To suit your project requirements, we have included both a barrel jack and a 3.81mm screw terminal connector for power input.

The barrel Jack is a standard 5.5mm barrel jack. Both these connections offer a secure and reliable power connection.
