THe AXBB-E (LARGE) – 450W For Open-Loop Stepper Motors contains all the hardware that will be required for powering and controlling your CNC Machine Kit.
The CNC controller, cables, power supply and drivers are included with enough cable to enable you to fit machines that have up to a 1500 x 1500mm footprint.
The cables on this “Large” Bundle are designed for machines of the following sizes:
- 1000mm x 1000mm
- 1000mm x 1500mm
- 1500mm x 1500mm
This controller bundle is designed to be paired with 4x 2.45 N.m NEMA 23 Open Loop Stepper Motors and contains the following components:
About the AXBB-E
The AXBB-E is a CNC controller that is very popular in the CNC industry due to its reliability and feature-rich interface. Moreover, its flexibility makes it popular among both hobbyists and professionals.
The controller can control up to 6 stepper motors or Integrated Servo Motors with an impressive stepping rate of 400kHZ and communicates via an ethernet interface, making the controller largely immune to Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
Digital Stepper Driver – DM556 – 5.6A – 20-50VDC
Our DM556 compatible stepper motor driver is an easy-to-use professional stepper motor driver, which can control a two-phase stepping motor. The driver is a digital stepper driver which utilizes DSP technology to get the best performance out of your stepper motor. Consequently, motors driven by this driver produce lower noise and better stability compared to their analog counterparts.
The DM556 stepper motor driver supports speed and direction control for ease of use in CNC, robotics and hobbyist applications. You can set its micro-step and output current via the 8 DIP switch array. All signal terminals are optoisolated, thereby reducing the chances of interference.
This stepper motor driver is NEMA17, NEMA23 and Nema34 compatible.
For best performance, we recommend a 36V power supply to use this driver with our NEMA23 stepper motors.

The Mean Well LRS-450 450W AC/DC Single Output is a single-output enclosed type power supply with 35mm of low profile design. Adopting an input of 115 VAC or 230 VAC (select by switch). The inbuilt long-life fan allows LRS-450 to work from -20ºC to +70ºC with a full load. Furthermore, the LRS-450 has complete protection functions and 5G anti-vibration capability.

Dual Output Power Supply 5V and 24V – 65W – RD-65B

Emergency Stop Switch
Essential to all builds is a big red STOP switch. Easy to see and hit in an emergency. When pushed it will latch in the down position and must be rotated to be released. This helps prevent accidental re-activation.

This cable can be used with our limit switches and limit switch kits. The shielding reduces the signal noise and helps eliminate false triggers.

Shielded 4 Core Cable 14/0.2
This cable can be used with NEMA23 stepper motors. The shielding reduces the signal noise and helps eliminate lost steps.
Shielded 4 Core Cable 7/0.5 – High Current
This cable can be used with our high-powered 2.45 Nm NEMA23 stepper motors and Closed Loop stepper motors which demand a higher working current. The shielding reduces the effects of Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) and helps eliminate lost steps.
DC Cable – 2 Core
This cable can be used to wire up DC power. Use it to wire from the DC Power Supply to the Power Input terminals on the controller.
