Description
Technical Overview
The Nylon End Cap – 30 x 30mm – 30 Series Black is a black nylon snap-fit end cap for closing the open ends of 30 Series 30 x 30 mm T-slot aluminium extrusion profiles. The Type C press-fit design requires no tools or separate fasteners – the cap presses directly into the profile end face and friction-fits against the centre hole of the extrusion to stay in place. It provides a clean edge finish, protects the profile end face from damage, and eliminates sharp extrusion edges on exposed frame ends.
The simple snap-fit installation makes this end cap easy to fit and remove, which suits builds where profiles may need to be re-drilled, tapped, or repurposed later. Furthermore, the cap includes a 7.2 mm centre tab and a light 0.003 kg body weight for neat, low-mass frame finishing.
Applications
The Nylon End Cap – 30 x 30mm – 30 Series Black closes exposed profile ends on 30 Series T-slot aluminium extrusion frames, enclosures, and workstations where a neat, tool-free closure is required. In addition, typical uses include capping horizontal frame ends, covering extrusion ends on machine guarding, and providing edge protection on frames that will be handled or transported.
For profiles subject to vibration or floor contact where the cap could be pushed off, the hardware range also includes fastener-secured end caps for a more secure positive-lock closure in demanding environments.

Maker Store Tips and Tricks
-
- Press the cap firmly and squarely into the profile end face – applying pressure at an angle can deform the nylon tabs and prevent a flush fit.
- Ensure the profile end is cut clean and square before fitting the cap – a rough or angled cut prevents the cap from seating flush.
- To remove the cap, use a flat-head screwdriver in the T-slot channel to gently prise the cap outward – avoid sharp tools that could damage the nylon body.
- For applications subject to vibration or floor contact, use a fastener-secured end cap variant instead to prevent the cap from working loose.
