Description
Technical Overview
The End Cap with Fastener – 30 x 30mm – 30 Series M8 is a black die-cast aluminium end cap for closing the open ends of 30 Series 30 x 30 mm T-slot aluminium extrusion profiles. The Type A design includes an M8 push-in fastener screw that passes through the cap into the extrusion centre bore to lock the cap firmly in place and prevent accidental removal. The cap provides a clean, finished appearance, eliminates sharp profile edges, and protects the end face against damage.
The black powder-coated finish suits standard 30 Series frame aesthetics. Furthermore, the included fastener makes this end cap well suited to demanding applications where the cap must stay in position under vibration or repeated contact – unlike a simple press-fit cap that can loosen over time.
Applications
The End Cap with Fastener – 30 x 30mm – 30 Series M8 closes the open end faces of 30 Series T-slot aluminium extrusion profiles in structural frames, workstations, machine guards, and enclosures. In addition, typical uses include capping vertical upright ends that contact floors or surfaces, horizontal frame ends that face outward, and any profile end where a professional finish and safety edge cover are required.
For enclosures and builds using the full range of hardware, end caps complete the finished look of exposed profile ends. For a simpler snap-fit closure without a fastener, the nylon end cap variant provides a press-fit alternative on the same extrusion profiles.

Maker Store Tips and Tricks
-
- Insert the cap body into the profile end face first, then install the M8 push-in fastener screw through the centre bore to secure it.
- Ensure the profile end is cut clean and square before fitting the cap – a rough or angled cut prevents the cap from seating flush.
- Apply the screw hand-tight only – over-tightening can damage the end-cap bore or strip mating threads.
- For floor-contact ends of vertical uprights, the fastener screw prevents the cap from being pushed into the profile by the weight of the frame.
