Technical Overview
The 180 Degree Inside Connector (30 Series M6) joins two 30 Series extrusion profiles end-to-end. This steel, zinc-plated internal hardware creates a straight inline configuration. Furthermore, it leaves no visible hardware on the outside of your frame. To install it, you simply insert the connector into the T-slot channel at the end of each profile. Next, you tighten the M6 set screws to draw the pieces firmly together. Consequently, this creates a concealed structural splice. This design extends your frame run cleanly without the need for bulky external face plates.
Additionally, this inline joint works perfectly whenever you need to extend two profiles along the same axis. It easily forms a longer, continuous run. Crucially, the slot channels on both profiles remain completely accessible after you finish joining them. Therefore, you can still load T-nuts from the open end of either profile at any time.
Applications
Builders specifically use the 180 Degree Inside Connector (30 Series M6) for 30 Series aluminium extrusion projects. In particular, it helps extend long frame runs beyond standard factory stock lengths. For example, you can use it to extend long machine bed rails. It also allows you to create modular machine frames. Consequently, you can easily disassemble and transport these frames in shorter, manageable sections. Furthermore, it works beautifully for display stands. It suits any 30 Series extrusion build where you prefer a hidden inline splice instead of a highly visible external joining plate.

- Insert the connector into both profile ends before bringing them together – seat it centrally to achieve equal engagement in both profiles.
- Align both profiles along a straight edge or flat surface before tightening to prevent the joint from setting at a slight angle.
- For structural splices, supplement the internal connector with a joining strip plate on the outer face of the profile if the joint will carry bending loads.
- The T-slot channel remains accessible at the joint face – ensure the connector does not obstruct the slot opening needed for T-nut insertion.
- Use thread-locking compound on the M6 set screws if the joint will experience sustained vibration.
