Our extensive range of tapered ball nose end mills makes 3D carving easier than ever before. These end mills feature longer cutting edges, ideal for deep carvings, and their tapered design enhances durability, reducing the risk of snapping. Moreover, our TiSIN-coated end mills possess unique qualities that enable intricate engravings on soft metals.
With the application of TiSIN (Titanium Silicium Nitride) coating, these carbide end mills become even more versatile, suitable for engraving steel, aluminium, brass, copper, as well as various wood and plastic materials.

Tips and tricks:
- Tapered Ball Nose end mills are stronger than standard ball nose endmills so a roughing pass is not usually required – It is however recommended to do a roughing pass on soft metals and some hardwoods.
- When 3D Carving soft metals, be sure to use cutting fluid to keep the bit cool and get the best finish. (Kerosene gets the best finish in aluminium)
- When 3D carving, the smallest stepover achieves the best finish, but the carving time is increased
- In your CAM settings, be sure to enter the correct taper angle for your end mill in the tool selection. Please refer to the specifications table above for the appropriate taper angle for your bit!
Please Note:
- Sold individually. Please select the endmill required and the quantity.
- Depending on your application, a roughing pass may be required before performing a finishing pass with the tapered ball nose end mills, especially with the smaller diameter end mills.
