Description
This variant of our 2 flute up-cut end mills has an addition of chip breaker flutes that produce smaller chips at a high rate. This makes the cut more efficient and reduces the pressure on the cutting tool, spindle and therefore the machine. This also means less vibration and chattering during aggressive cuts and higher feed rates. These end mills are excellent for roughing. Cut plastics, hard/soft woods and foam with the improved cut geometry!
Up-cut tools are the most common they tend to ‘pull’ material up and out of the milled slot. This commonly leaves a smooth finish at the bottom and a slight burr at the top of the material being processed. The MakerBits range of 2 flute up-cut end mills are well suited for general purpose and specialized milling, making them a very versatile tool in the workshop.
