Xtreme Mini V Wheel Kit

$6.72 Inc. GST

This component is a precision-milled polycarbonate rolling element designed for linear motion applications within V-slot linear guide systems. It functions as a load-bearing wheel that resists physical compression under mechanical loads to maintain structural tracking precision. Typical applications include CNC routers, milling machines, 3D printers, and automated linear guide assemblies where the distribution of structural forces across a gantry plate is required to maintain alignment during linear travel.

Description

Technical Overview

Engineers design the Xtreme Mini V Wheel kit as a polycarbonate rolling element to optimize linear motion applications. Specifically, this rugged component provides high rigidity and resists physical wear under demanding conditions. To achieve this, manufacturers mill each wheel individually. Consequently, this precise manufacturing process ensures incredibly tight tolerances. Therefore, this wheel serves as a high-strength alternative to standard Delrin wheels. By utilizing polycarbonate material, the component actively minimizes physical compression under load. As a result, it maintains structural tracking precision within your system. Finally, the wheel operates as a load-bearing rolling element. For this reason, it integrates directly with the V-Slot Linear Guide System to ensure smooth travel.

Applications

Machinists and builders integrate this wheel into CNC routers, mills, 3D printers, and automated linear guide systems. Indeed, these systems frequently introduce heavy forces, weights, or mechanical loads. Because the polycarbonate material actively resists deformation, it works beautifully for assemblies subjected to heavier operational loads. Furthermore, you can easily deploy multiple wheels along a single gantry plate to optimize overall performance. By doing this, your configuration evenly distributes mechanical loads across the entire assembly. Ultimately, this smart distribution preserves structural alignment and guarantees high system precision during linear travel.

Assembly guide

  • To assemble, first push one bearing into the wheel. Then using the screw as a guide push one of the two Mini shims and press the 2nd bearing in the wheel.
  • The second mini shim goes between the wheel and spacer to prevent the bearings from binding.

Maker Store Tips and Tricks

  • To assemble, push the first bearing into the wheel cavity, then use an M5 screw as an alignment guide to position one of the 1mm precision shims internally before pressing the second bearing into place.

  • Place the second precision shim on the outside of the wheel assembly, between the wheel and the structural spacer, to prevent the internal bearing races from binding.

  • Standard gantry assemblies require a set of M5 x 25mm screws, aluminum spacers, eccentric spacers, and gantry plates, though longer screws may be necessary for custom or thicker plate configurations.
