These collets are used to securely hold your end mills into your spindle during milling.
We offer 3 sizes of ER collet sets to suit your spindle; ER11, ER16 and ER20. The listing is for individual ER16 collets. If you want to bundle and save, you can get the whole set of ER16 collets here

Specifications:
- Material: Heat Treated Carbon Steel
- Rockwell Hardness: HRC48-50
The runout tolerance of this Collet is 15 Microns. When performing a cut the Total Indicated Runout (TRI), which is the runout of the tip of the endmill on the workpiece, is comprised of all the runouts in the system which would include the Spindle, Collet and endmill, please take this into consideration when considering your builds

Tips and tricks
Please use the steps and diagram below to insert or remove the collet from the nut,
- Remove the collet nut from the spindle.
- Insert the collet into the collet nut at an angle, turns lightly until it clicks in place. (Step A)
- Please ensure that the collet is secured as shown in step B.
- Insert the collet and nut assembly onto the spindle.
- Insert the end mill and hand tighten the nut to hold the end mill in place.
- Use two spanners, one to tighten the nut and the other to stop the spindle shaft from turning.
- To remove the collet set, just repeat the above steps in reverse. (Step C)

Regular submersion in oil and anti water formulas is recommended if water spraying on the end mill is used.
