Description
Technical Overview
The 90 Degree 5 Hole Joining Plate – 30 Series M6 is a flat aluminium joining plate for reinforcing right-angle corner joints on the outer face of two interconnected 30 Series T-slot aluminium extrusion profiles. This plate spans across the corner junction on one face of each profile, clamping with M6 bolts through five evenly distributed holes – creating an external bridging connection that reinforces the joint against opening, racking, and bending at the corner.
The five-hole 90-degree geometry distributes the joint load across both sides of the plate. This format provides more bolt count and a longer surface contact span than a standard 2-hole bracket, particularly useful at corners that must carry sustained bending moment or where the internal connection alone is insufficient for the applied load.
Applications
The 90 Degree 5 Hole Joining Plate – 30 Series M6 is used to reinforce external corner joints in 30 Series T-slot frame structures where additional surface-mounted joining stiffness is required at right-angle junctions. Secure with M6 cap head bolts. Applications include machine frame corners subject to bending moment, large enclosure frames, heavy workbench corner reinforcement, industrial automation frame nodes, and any 30 Series frame assembly where a standard 2-hole corner bracket does not provide a wide enough bearing area or sufficient bolt count for the corner load case.
For maximum corner rigidity, pair with an internal 90 Degree Inside Corner Connector – 30 Series, M6 at the same joint to provide both internal and external reinforcement. Also use Sliding T-Nut – 30 Series, 10 Pack to load both slot channels before positioning the plate.

Maker Store Tips and Tricks
-
- Load all T-nuts into both slot channels before positioning the plate – once the plate is placed over the corner, slot access is partially restricted.
- Tighten bolts progressively from the corner outward, alternating arms, to seat the plate flat against both profile faces before final torque.
- The 5-hole format is most effective with bolts distributed evenly across the plate – confirm that the plate hole spacing matches the T-nut spacing in the slot.
- For the highest corner stiffness, pair with an internal connector (90-degree inside type) at the same joint to provide both internal and external reinforcement.
- Avoid fitting the plate over a slot face that already carries a panel or cover, as the plate will protrude above the slot channel surface.
