Technical Overview
The End Fastener – 30 Series M8 is a compact connector that fastens the end face of one 30 Series T-slot aluminium extrusion profile to the side face of another profile using the center bore of the extrusion cross-section. It inserts into the center bore of the profile end, and a bolt passing through the adjacent profile’s slot wall draws the profile end tight against the mating extrusion face without any visible external hardware on the joint exterior.
End fasteners use the structural center channel of the extrusion as the connection path, providing a clean and concealed connection at T-junctions and right-angle frame joints. The Type A design is the standard single-connector variant for the 30 Series profile bore diameter, making it the primary connection method for T-joints and corner joints throughout 30 Series frame assemblies.
Applications
Use the End Fastener – 30 Series M8 at T-junction and right-angle frame joints in 30 Series T-slot aluminium extrusion builds to create a clean concealed connection at the profile end — no bracket on the external slot face required. Applications include machine frame T-joints, enclosure frame corner-to-rail connections, gantry rail-to-column joints, workstation frame joints, and any 30 Series frame assembly where aesthetic cleanliness, panel clearance, or restricted external access makes an external bracket impractical.
For joints carrying significant load, supplement the end fastener with an external 30 Series bracket on an adjacent slot face. Each end fastener requires a Sliding T-Nut – 30 Series, 10 Pack in the adjacent profile’s slot to accept the through-bolt.

- Pre-drill or confirm the center bore of the 30 Series profile is accessible at the profile end before assembling the joint – end face must be square cut for good face contact.
- The through-bolt passes through the adjacent profile’s T-slot wall into the end fastener body – place a T-nut in the adjacent profile’s slot to accept this bolt.
- Tighten the through-bolt from the adjacent profile side to draw the end face tight; once you assemble the joint, you lose access to the end fastener.
- For high-load joints, supplement the end fastener with an external bracket or gusset on one or more outer faces of the junction.
- End fasteners provide a concealed clean joint but are not suitable as the sole connection at joints under heavy bending or cantilevered loads without additional support.
