Carbide Insert Bits come with 4-sided carbide inserts to allow you to rotate the carbide insert, giving you more than 3 times the longevity of standard surfacing bits. The cut geometry of the carbide insert bits also has the benefits of superior heat dissipation and improved cut quality.
These versatile bits are suitable for CNC machines router sleds, table-mounted routers and custom woodworking machines.
Benefits of Carbide Insert Bits:
The benefits of using carbide insert bits include:
- Quality Finishes: Achieve professional-grade finishes on your projects, whether you’re routing edges, surfacing, or shaping profiles. The precision of carbide inserts ensures smooth and flawless results.
- Less Downtime: Reduced downtime due to tool replacements leading to increased productivity. Simply rotate the carbide insert to an unused side and continue cutting!
- Improved Material Removal Rates (MRR): The high grade of carbide of these bits allows for high feed rates, increasing productivity.
- Increased Cost Benefit: Carbide Insert Tools only require the carbide inserts to be replaced, therefore the cost of replacement is minimal compared to an entire system of the standard surfacing bits.
- Increased Durability: Our Carbide Insert Surfacing Bits are constructed with premium-grade carbide inserts. Carbide is known for its exceptional hardness, making the bits incredibly resistant to wear and tear.

Tips and tricks
- Use a dust shoe with a dust extraction system to prevent the dust from going everywhere.
- As these bits are much wider than usual, it is recommended to insert as much of the bit into the collet as possible to reduce runout.
- If surfacing, please use a stepover of less than 50% to ensure a nice flat surface.
