Maker Store is determined to provide the best quality products at the best prices. We inspect all of our stock as it comes through the door for any damage or manufacturing error.   We remove from stock any product that does not meet our standards and these products are considered Seconds (2nd).

Products are classified as 2nd for the following reasons :

• Cosmetic damage
  • Scratch / Dent
  • Discoloured
• Error in manufacturing – Product tolerances do not meet our manufacturing standards
• Damaged Products
  • Surface rust on metal
  • Broken header pins
  • Edges out of square

Functional parts of a project should be built using our premium products. However, 2nds are a perfect alternative for prototyping and a hobbyist on a budget.

Examples of uses for 2nds include; building cases/frames for CNC machines and control boxes, CNC Base-boards, furniture frames, and much more!
