Maker Store is taking action to enhance the safety of our, employees, and customers in relation to the spread of COVID-19. We are committed to providing the best service possible during this period of uncertainty.
The Victorian and Federal Governments are providing directions for businesses and Maker Store will be working within the new guidelines.
In accordance with the instructions provided by the Victorian Government, we will continue to ship orders until instructed otherwise. Please note that Australia Post and most couriers have implemented a no contact delivery policy. This means that delivery personal will not seek a signature on delivery, but will attempt to visually confirm the recipient and drop the parcel(s) at a safe distance. Delivery personal will attempt to maintain a 2 meter distance (as advised by the Federal Government) at all times. Please note there have been some increased delays, especially to WA due to COVID-19.
Make Store asks all our customers to please be patient with delivery personal and respect the need for them to maintain social distancing.

FREIGHT DELAYS NOTICE: All freight passing through NSW is experiencing delays of up to 1-2 weeks.
Due to the COVID-19 situation in NSW please plan for delays if you are located in: NT, QLD, ACT, NSW

The Melbourne lock-down has been extended for at least 1 week. With the restrictions in place in Melbourne our display room is closed during the lockdown. We have a counter at the door, and we will continue to do contact free pick-ups just outside our door in the car park at 7 Cedebe Place, Carrum Downs 3201.
Our office and warehouse will remain open as normal Monday-Friday and processing orders in the standard 1-3 business day processing time. Our office will be closed on Saturday 05/06.

03/08/20 Update
Melbourne is now in Stage 4 Lock-down. Maker Store, like other Hardware Stores, is still open and operating. Our office and warehouse are open and orders will continue to be dispatched in the 1-3 business day processing time.
Contact free Pick-Up is still available at our location, 7 Cedebe Place Carrum Downs 3201. Pick-Up is restricted to only 1 customer and 1 staff member at the counter at any one time. We kindly ask customers to patiently wait outside or in their car until the other customer has left the counter.
Our display room is temporarily closed until further notice. We apologise for this inconvenience.

21/07/20 Update
Premier Andrews made an announcement that people living in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell shire will be required to wear a mandatory face mask when leaving home due to a concerning number of coronavirus cases in recent days.
All staff will be wearing masks until further notice. Our office and warehouse are open and at full operation. Pick-up service is still available, contactless pick-up from our warehouse is allowed. Our display room is temporarily closed until further notice. Please wear a mask when you arrive to our warehouse for a pick-up. If you are not wearing a mask we will kindly ask you to remain outside and we will bring the package to you.

16/07/2020 Update
Melbourne is in Stage 3 restrictions. Pick-Up service is still available, contactless pick-up from our warehouse is allowed. Our office and warehouse are open and at full operation.

24/04/2020 Update
Australia Post has advised that they are experiencing delivery delays:
At Australia Post, we’re working hard to deliver for our customers in these difficult times. We are however, experiencing significant delivery delays in our network due to limited flights, social distancing requirements and a substantial increase in parcel volumes as more people shop online.
These delays mean we are temporarily suspending the Express Post guarantee of next day delivery as we are unable to commit to this timeframe. Express Post is still available but parcels may not be delivered next business day every time.
Please be patient and understand that both Australia Post and Maker Store are working to get your orders to you as quickly as possible.

30/03/2020 Update
Victoria is to implement Stage Three restrictions (see the Premier’s Statement). The new restrictions will not adversely affect Maker Store operations.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates here.

27/03/2020 Update
We have been receiving updates from Australia Post and our major courier services about COVID-19 and the affect to their services.
Please be advised that because of the various state border closures there will most likely be delays in deliveries. Also estimated shipping times are currently not reliable. Further, all logistics companies are implementing contact-less deliveries. The process may be different across the various companies, so we ask our customers to please follow the instructions of delivery personal.
Maker Store, again, asks all our customers to be patient and flexible during this difficult period – stay safe.
25/03/2020 Update
Victoria is now in Stage 2 Lock-down. See the PM’s Media Statement for more information. The increase lock-downs will not further affect Maker Store operations at this point.
We also expect an increase to Stage 3, although the details of this remain unclear. Please check back regularly for updates on how these restrictions affect Maker Store operations.
